As an avid cartridge/ammunition and shot shell collector, I have dedicated this site to the Cartridge Collectors who find this hobby exciting & historical as well as for Law Enforcement who require forensics knowledge to assist in their job. There also does not seem to be enough web space or information readily available for cartridge information, thus this site was created back in 1996. This site is not intended for, nor does it contain any gun information and very little in the way of re-loading, boxes and does not have cartridges for sale. But you will find many collecting resources at your fingertips.
This site’s main purpose is to provide users with assistance on ammunition/cartridge identification, headstamp identification and general ammunition knowledge. There are sections for centerfire, rimfire, pinfire and shotshell cartridges. Because I have a published book in 3 digital formats for sale with very detailed information on both centerfire and rimfire headstamp identification as well as cartridge caliber Identification, these subjects will be displayed from an older page I have and are quite basic and will not updated. But they will still be left for users to view. Much more and much more detailed information is available in the Headstamp and Cartridge ID guide that is for sale and is an excellent resource for all. There is still a lot of value to gain on this site and much is focused on shotshell headstamps where there is even less information available on the web. The site is always a work in progress. If you are a collector I would also highly recommend joining the I.A.A (International Ammunition Association).
